MOSAIC READING TURKISH LAMP W/ CLASSIC GOOSENECK BASE

Turkish lamps are made entirely by hand in Turkey. They are characterized by the metals worked in a very detailed way and by the wide range of colors used in small crystals forming mosaics. The Ottoman and Mosaic lamps come in a variety of color and shape, and can be lit electrically or by candle votives. The art of glass making has been imbedded in the Turkish culture since the Ottoman Empire in 1299. The lamps were made with a special Byzantine stained glass that illustrated a unique and different technique only known to the Turkish culture.
